Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

Lenora Stein Headshot Studio Photographer

From CPA to Photography

After 25 years as a CPA, I traded spreadsheets for a more creative path. I turned my part-time photography business into a full-time career.

While I may have left the cubicle behind, I still love working with professionals and business owners who want images that look polished, feel true to who they are, and help them make a strong first impression.

As a recovering shy introvert, I know how hard it can be to step in front of the camera. That’s exactly why I’m here: to help others like me feel at ease, seen, and proud of the images that represent them.

The CPA Years Still Show Up in How I Work

Twenty-five years of accounting taught me how to handle the details so other people don’t have to. Show up prepared. Keep things organized. Make sure nothing gets dropped.

That’s how I run a team session now. If you’re the one who got handed the headshot project, you’re the person I’m really working for. I keep the day on schedule, keep your team moving, and make sure you’re not the one chasing people down or apologizing for how it went.

Bring the team. I’ll handle the rest.

Life Outside the Studio

I’m a proud native Texan, but I took the scenic route getting back here. Growing up, I moved around a lot, living in California, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. The longest I stayed in any one house was two and a half years, until I got to call the shots. Now, Mark (my first, and favorite husband of over 30 years) and I have lived in our home in The Woodlands area for nearly 20 years, and we absolutely love it here.

When we’re not working, you’ll find us out on a local nature hike or planning our next travel adventure, whether across the state or across the globe. Some of our favorite destinations include the redwoods of Northern California, a photography safari in Africa, the Amalfi Coast in Italy, and the storybook castles of Germany.

We’re passionate supporters of dog rescue and adoption. I also love supporting Operation Pets Alive through fundraising and event photography. It’s a cause close to my heart and a meaningful way to give back with my camera.

Why I Do What I Do

In my former life as a CPA, I spent countless hours at a desk, crunching numbers and creating reports.

It was stable and structured, but a bit solitary. But when I started building my part-time photography business, I discovered a few things that I didn’t know I was missing. Community, connection, and collaboration.

Photography opened the door to a more fulfilling way of working. A life upgrade.

It gave me the chance to engage with real people, hear their stories, and help them show up confidently in their own lives and businesses.

Today, I’m driven by the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen and proud of how they present themselves.

I consider it a privilege to help professionals and business owners create images that reflect not just what they do, but who they are.
